One hundred
good friends and sponsors got together in our building Friday
night for a kick off party for our 12th An-nual Asian Lunar New
Year Festival. As host of the festival for the past 12 years, we
really appreciate the community's support in making it all
possible.
As the new International District be-gins to form, all of us in
this area will have a new vision and hope to build this com-munity
up as the new tourist spot for the city of Houston.
Our Annual Lunar New Year Festival will be held this weekend.
This year, we salute the new International District by featuring
new programs with an international theme, including Asian, Lati-no,
African-American and other groups in the community. Our goal is
to celebrate the different cultures in our area in order to
promote the new International District.
As we start off the new Chinese "year of rat," we note that this
represents a year of aggressiveness, a year to improve your
wealth as well as your health, wellness and your personal
relationships.
We wish all our readers a very prosperous year ahead.
