Politician Make Last Push in
Texas |
|
|
|
|
Barack Obama
and Hillary Clinton will be in Texas to “close the deal” with
a very dwindling number of undecided voters in the democratic
primary election. According to the latest poll, Obama is leading
Clinton by 4 points within a margin
of error.
On the Republican side, John McCain leads Mike Huckabee with
53.2 percent to
Huckabee’s 32.9 percent among the voters. Despite those daunting
numbers, the
former Arkansas governor is refusing to give up. Huckabee
stated, "I'm not ready
to concede Texas yet."
Former President Clinton came the International Trade Center in
the International
District last week and spoke to thousands of Asian voters and
listened to their concerns,
while his wife, Hillary Clinton, continued to cast herself as
the candidate most able
to handle the nation's problems.
Mrs. Clinton told a crowd more than 2,000 people in a recent
speech that, "For some people this election is about how you
feel and it's about speeches. Well, that's not what it's about
for me. It's about solution"
Tuesday's vote will likely decide who will be the democratic
party's candidate. For Asian
American voters, we represent less than 7 percent of total vote.
Regardless, we still need
to open our eyes and choose the best candidate that can help our
community, the country
and the world. |
