祥和社會 同舟共濟

拜登總統就職不到兩週，我們雖然仍在嚴峻之疫情籠罩下，但是我們已經深深感受到一股暖流和祥和氛圍 ，大家感得不是嗎？

今天看到三年來，在川普執政下，把許多非法進入美國的人和孩童們分離拘留， 拜登立即下令要結束這項慘無人道之行動。

面對每天數千位同胞失去生命，新政府正在動員所有國家力量， 希望每天能給一百五十萬人種疫苗 ，在夏天前可以為三億人種植， 這項德政是多麼偉大而且必須的， 還有什麼工作比救人更重要。

拜登新政府更體諒國民失業飢餓之痛苦，向國會提出另一次的紓困案 ，解決大家燃眉之極， 有何不妥， 但是還有眾多共和黨大力阻擋。

新政府決心全力鞏固奧巴馬醫療保險， 為貧困人民有基本保障 ，尤其是對年幼孩童， 但屢遭共和黨阻止。

我們決定接受更多难民以履行國際義務， 這是大家共同之責任， 又有何不妥？

我們非常高興把一位推特治國的總統送走之後，立即回到國際社會 ，重修與各國之關係， 全世界都鬆了口氣。

我們看到前總統川普今天和共和黨高層會晤，商討如何在二年後眾議員期中選舉如何選勝， 真令人不解 川普是不會從此罷休的。

今天， 我們再度感受到人間之溫暖， 祥和之景象， 我們一定要携手共進， 為世界和平努力。

We Are Expecting A Peaceful Society

House’s minority leader Kevin McCarthy met with ex-President Trump yesterday and the two Republicans discussed strategy for winning the House majority in next year’s mid- term election. A statement released after the meeting said that, “President Trump’s popularity has never been stronger than it is today, and his endorsement means more than perhaps any endorsement at any time.” Can that be true? 

We are so happy that since Biden has become President a lot of things are changing. Now the new administration is working on how to stop the virus in many ways. Dr. Vivek Murthy was Surgeon General under Barack Obama and now President Biden has nominated him for the same position. The government wants to vaccinate 1.5 million people every day by the summer so that all the citizens of America will be vaccinated.

President Biden also plans to sign an executive order rescinding the proclamation that suspended certain immigrants and work visas and return to a country that welcomes immigrants and acknowledges their contributions to this nation.

Ex-President Trump also froze the diversity visa lottery, a program that allows people from underrepresented countries, many of them in Africa, to move to the US.

The restriction also halted the issuance of several temporary visas used by people to work in the U.S., including H-1B and H-2B visas for agricultural seasonal workers.

Today we welcome that the new administration is opening our door again. We should also realize that our country has been built by immigrants. We need new blood to come and join us to continue to develop our community.

Change is on the way. We all need a peaceful community.
