The Dilemma Of The Chinese Asian Community

With the continuous changes in domestic politics, the situation of Chinese Asians in the United States is becoming more and more difficult. The main reason is that our voting base is not big enough and we are not strongly united, so we are repeatedly bullied by the politicians in politics.

Last week Congressman Al Green convened a gathering of community leaders of various ethnic groups to discuss how to unite to face the challenges of the future and jointly defend our political power together.

In recent times, some older politicians have discriminated against Chinese Americans, including trying to ban the buying of land in Texas and even restricting access to public universities. Even Congresswoman Judy Chu ‘s loyalty to the country has been questioned.

Today the direction of our efforts is to form a political alliance to give full play of everyone’s strengths and inputs, including politically and get the support of business leaders from all walks of life who support our idea. Our Alliance will be made up of a combination of Asian, Latino, African American, Jewish and Arab communities.

The Alliance structure will need    to be established on a solid organizational basis that can  mobilize the masses to declare

our issues and our rights to be recognized by the political powers and meet our demands.

We are here to work for ourselves and also for our next generation.
