市長在決心解決市民民生問題


惠特曼市長上任以來為了實現他在競選時之政見, 最近在市政問題之改善得到市民之喝采和讃譽。 首先是治安問題之改善, 對於警力及消防人員之整頓得到各方之支持, 尤其在改善市民民生問題上, 市長做出非常果斷決定。 


近年來, 休斯敦自來水厰之管理真是荒腔走板, 許多住家和公司行號收到令人無法相信之水費賬單, 而且是投诉無門 ,自來水主管部門根本沒有門市部。


就在昨天, 市長已經正式宣佈所有市民之水費可以依照原來水費單之平均數支付, 並且會立即開設市民們之投數窗口 。


我們非常感謝市長之新法令,為市民解決水費單之困擾, 這更代表了市長對市民作出之果斷決定。 


老實說, 我們對於市政府以往在建築執照之發放, 治安之敗壞甚為不滿, 也寄望新市長、新實政來真正為人民服務。


The Mayor Is Determined To Solve The Citizens' Problems


Since taking office, Mayor Whitmire has already been applauded and praised by the public for the improvement on several municipal issues including the public safety issue on which the mayor made a very decisive and swift decision. 


In recent years the water department of the City of Houston issued unbelievably high bills to many customers and the department did not even open an office to deal with this pending issues. 


Just yesterday, the mayor officially announced that all citizens' water bills can be paid according to the average of their original water bills and the City will immediately open    a window for customer service to assist them. 


We are very grateful to the mayor    for the new decree to the citizens 

for solving the problem of the water bills which also clearly represents the mayor’s straightforward and decisive decision-making process to help all the citizens with their problems. 


There are many areas with problems and that includes the issuing of building permits from the City. We fully expect that the new mayor will take action to improve this situation in the near future.
