非法移民真的会搶走我們的工作嗎 ?

十多年前,來自巴勒斯坦的成功商人CHI化妝品公司創辦人佛羅先生參加德州州長選舉時，我參加他的一次集會,對他參選之勇氣表示十分敬佩,他是一位新移民創業有成後,口袋中有鈔票因而選擇了政治之道路。

在選舉辯論會上大家對這名外來移民投以不屑或奇異之眼光,他不但英語不纯正,而且反猶太裔之政見十分堅定，當然他當選之機率非常小。但是他對非法移民之權益十分支持,他在會上公開表示,我們今天如果沒有拉丁墨西哥之勞工，就如我們“天空沒有太陽”。

此語一出真是令人震撼,我們似乎有同感,試想我們去的旅館餐廳及家裡割草整地及修路的勞工們,多半是願意出賣勞力以血汗換取低廉工資,就連全美中餐館中掌廚及洗碗清清員工都是老墨之天下,我們真不敢想像少了他們是何種境地？

川普上任在即,他決心把上千萬非法居民趕出國境,是否可行我們拭目以待。

Do Illegal Aliens Really Take Away Our Jobs？

Many years ago, Mr. Farouk, the founder of the CHI cosmetic company, was a very successful Palestinian businessman who came to America and participated in the election for Texas Governor. I attended one of his fund raising parties and admired his courage in running  for the election.  He wasa new immigrant who was very successful in business, and then chose politics and made a run for governor.

At the election debate, everyone looked at him with the strange eyes. Not only was his English not pure, also his anti-Jewish political views are very firm. But he is very supportive of the right of illegal residents in the United States. He publicly has said that, "If we don’t have many Latino Mexican workers, it will be just like we don’t have sunshine in the sky."

We seem to feel the same way. Imagine the hotels and restaurants where we go to dine, the workers who mow our lawns and repair the roads. They are taking the hard jobs with lower pay. Without them, who will take all of these jobs?

Trump is ready to take over the office of the presidency. He is determined to drive tens of millions of illegal residents out of the country. We will wait and see whether it is feasible.
