Today is Teachers’ Day
When the Coronavirus pandemic attacked our nation, a group of young students went to their teacher’s house and sang a song to congratulate their teacher who was recovering from the Coronavirus illness. Such a wonderful and touching moment. Let us all remember our own teachers too.
It takes ten years to grow a tree and a hundred years to bring up a generation of good men. Since the age of civilization, any country’s power is dependent on their education system. Today, we are witnessing in all Asian-American families in the United States that most have received higher education, especially the second generation. They have become professionals in all fields. One-third of medical doctors are of Asian descent. Today, many are fighting with this pandemic in the hospitals where they have devoted their lives and energy to serve our nation.
When we celebrating Teachers’ Day we need to remember our duty to the country. We need to participate more in volunteer work in our community and schools. We need to go to vote. It is the best way to answer those politicians that have discriminated against Asian Americans.
