我們要為SOS “緊急“報案系統催生

一年多來，我們的社區遭受到前所未有之經濟及病毒之蹂躝，每当夜深人靜的夜晚，一幕幕在電視和媒體上的悽慘晝面，深植在我的心頭，總是感到自己對社區無法盡到責任而十分內疚。

我們決定由國際區治安委員會來策劃有關工作，並承擔全部費用。

這項緊急報案系統將設計最新軟體，透過手機把我們聯繫在一起，其中最重要的部分除了報警系統之外，主要是可以立即通報給附近的會員，除了提醒大家注意之外，必要時可以参與救援之行列。

這套系統是否成功在於兩大因素；其中最重要的是大家要踴躍參加成為會員，人數越多越好，涵蓋面積越大越好，目的在於不論你走到何處，都會有會員們前來支援。

今天我們的處境已經非常艱難，這也是我們必須要發揮互助合作的關鍵時刻了，我們要彻底放棄自掃門前雪的觀念，才能自保和保護他人之安危。

我們會竭盡所能，在最短期內，推出這套APP 系統，希望大家拭目以待，共同努力。

SOS APP Is On The Way

                                                                                                                                             In the last fourteen months our community and people have just suffered so much because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the middle of the night when I think about all those horrible photos and so many people who have lost their lives, I just really feel so miserable.

I brought this idea into our community and the International District to see if this  would be helpful. This is a project that could help many people when their life is in danger- the SOS APP.

We already have an IT software engineer working on the APP simply to let our community members get the extra help they need.

There are two fundamental elements we need to be organized. First, we must have enough people to register into the APP. When some emergency happens to anyone, they just push the button on their cell phone. First thing I would report the incident to the police, and second thing would be to notify nearby members. They either could come to the rescue or be notified of what is going on through a live camera picture.

This APP will not only just record what is happening on the spot in a Live Photo. It also will send an alarm to all the members of the community.

We are so glad this new APP will be available to our community very soon. We hope that all of us will be a part of it. We are not just fighting the crime, but also including hate crimes.
