重返哈佛歲月

---- 對銀行金融業之探索

早在一九九七年夏天，有幸被錄取參加哈佛大學商學院之企管研習班，利用二個署假完成學業並撰寫了【從哈佛看世界】《AN EYE ON THE WORLD FROM HARVARD 一書》(亞馬遜書店代售)。如今事隔二十多年，在我的媒體事業中仍然受益無窮。

如今我又重操舊業回到銀行金融業，當時我在笫十篇書中第191 頁曾撰寫「美國銀行業務改革檢討」，分章為：美國金融事業之革興 / 科技革命對銀行業之衝擊 / 社區銀行對社區経濟之貢獻 / 銀行與加油站----金融事業之未來 /「錢」途盈無量 / 美國銀行業發展之新趨勢 / 成功的銀行—— 親切、效率、服務/銀行経營新方向—租賃等七大章節。

我在哈佛期間曾經硏讀了近五百篇有關銀行業之個案研究報告，結論是銀行金融業是國家経濟支撐之命脈，更是帶動成長之重要工具。

多年來全球情勢之變化，世界経濟版圖之重整，在我所寫之書中就曾寫到了全球化大危機，主要是在美國主導和制定之経濟和政治規則已經受到嚴重挑戰。

今天我們重新步入銀行業，深信社區銀行對社區経濟發展將是永遠不變的定律，經過多年之不竭奮鬥，我們大家把休斯敦國際區變成一顆耀眼的多元族裔社區，在美南新聞總部，我們已經把媒體中心、文化貿易中心及銀行金融中心，成為三位一體之服務航母。

美南新聞自創刊迄今，我們遭遇過無數艰困之挑戰，但是我們對大家之支持懐著感激和感恩，環球第一銀行及媒體文化之航母也即將開航，我們一定會全力以赴，為華裔增光。

Return to Harvard Years

-Exploration Of The Banking And Financial Industry

As early as the summer of 1997 I was fortunate to be admitted to a management workshop at the Harvard Business School. I spent two summers to complete my studies and wrote the book, "An Eye On The World From Harvard" (on sale on Amazon book store). After a quarter of a century it still benefited me a lot in my business career.

Now we are back to the banking business again. In the book I wrote many chapters about the banking industry, including a chapter on Review of Banking Reform in America (on page 191) and covered the topics including the impact of the technological revolution on the banking business, the community bank contribution to the community, a successful bank, friendly efficiency and service and the new direction of banking.

During my time at Harvard, I studied nearly 500 case studies on banking. My conclusion was that banking is the lifeblood of the national economy and a most important tool for driving growth.

Today we have entered the banking business. I am convinced that the community bank is stil the engine to help a community grow.

At the headquarters of Southern News Group we have installed a Media Center, Trade Center and Financial Banking Center- all three in one location. We are so grateful for everyone’s support. We are also very confident to sail this 'aircraft carrier' to serve you and our community.
