支持赫里斯郡發行公共衛生公債

為了改造赫里斯郡醫療衛生公共醫院之基建設施， 包括大休斯敦在內之居民將對二十五億之公債進行公投，這將是近二十年來對醫疗事業之重大改革。

多年來，我有幸參與赫里斯郡醫療公益基金會之理事職位， 主要是為五個社區醫院進行籌款工作， 十多年來， 基金會透過社會各界之捐助， 對於公立醫院之生存產生積極之作用。

赫里斯郡每年撥款二十億支助五家公立醫院， 這些公立醫院不但提供没有健康保險的市民使用 ，更是許多緊急救護之主要醫院。

我們非常贊同發行二十五億公債來改善目前已經非常陳舊之設備， 況且我們人口不斷增加，包括許多新來之難民。

社會上貧富差距越來越大， 苦難之市民求助無方， 只有依賴公共醫療資源來治病， 這也是我們應提供之基本服務。

                               We Support The 2.5 Billion Bond Referendum For The Harris County Hospital District

In order to renovate the infrastructure of the Harris County public hospitals, residents in the county will hold a referendum for a $2.5 billion dollar bond.                           This is the most major step that has been taken in the past twenty years. 

Over the last few years, I have had the honor to serve on the Harris County Hospital District Foundation Board. Our job has been mainly to raise funds for the hospitals in Harris County. In the last several years, the foundation has played a very important role toward the improvement of our medical services in Harris County. 

Every year Harris County allocates $2 billion dollars to support five public hospitals that are not only used by people without insurance, but are also the main hospitals used as trauma hospitals for emergency rescue services.

We are very much in favor and strongly support the issuing of the $2.5 billion dollar bond to improve the hospitals which are now very old. 

In recent years we have had more people moving into Harris County including many refugees and the gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider and wider. 

Many people have no way to ask for help. They can only depend on public medicine to survive.
