平地起高樓環球第一銀行今日奠基

今晨特別起早，上午五時到達環球銀行大樓工地時，已經排滿了水泥卡車，他們依序把水泥灌到地基上。下午過後，已經有近三百輛水泥車進出工地，數十個工人不停在推土、平地，建築工地這一幕緊扣住我的心，它是我們多年來追求的夢，終於逐步成真。

在我的人生創業之路上，有些是我難予忘懐之挑戰和記憶，其中包括二十五年前落成之美南新聞媒體中心及國際貿易中心大樓，更令我銘記心頭的還是那龎然大物之印報機，首次以極長之十八輪貨車運送到工厰，經過數週之安裝，看到第一份印刷出來的彩色報紙，我的眼眶真是濕了，這份感動和滿足感，是我畢生難忘的一幕。

今天這座銀行大厦能夠順利地完成地基共二十英呎深的近六十個地洞，是完成大厦最重要的部分。

我今天分別和這批水泥工們握住他們粗糙的手，一再感謝他們的辛勞，我也見證了這座大廈從一草一木舖上地基之全部過程。

回憶孩提時代，被母親要我上台演說之一幕，如今數十年過去了，我感激她給予之鼓勵。不怕艱難，勇往直前，一個非常平凡人家的孩子，能夠平地起高樓，更要感恩多年共同奮鬥之牽手家人和無數陪伴我們在工作崗位的伙伴们，努力、決心和堅持不懈是我們的共同信念。今天我們可以透過媒體、金融及文化貿易平台，為社會國家盡一己之力，此生足矣。

Building From The Ground Up

I woke up early in the morning and arrived at the construction site of

the Global One Bank building at

5 a.m. The site was already filled with cement trucks pouring cement onto the foundation one-by-one. By the afternoon, nearly three hundred cement trucks had entered and exited the site with dozens of workers tirelessly leveling the ground. The scene at the construction site deeply touched

my heart. It was the dream that we have pursued for many years that has gradually, but surely, come to fruition.

On my entrepreneurial journey there have been challenges and memories that are hard to forget. Among them are the completion of the Southern News Group Media Center and the International Trade Center twenty-five years ago. What stands out most vividly in my mind also is the first delivery and installation of our newspaper press delivered by an

18-wheeler truck and installed in our warehouse. Seeing the first copy of the full-color newspaper rolling off the press, my eyes were truly moist at that moment of emotion and the deep satisfaction I felt was one that I will never forget in my lifetime.

Today, this bank building was

able to successfully arrive at the completion of the foundation with nearly sixty holes, each twenty feet deep, which is the most crucial part of completing the building. I shook hands with all of the cement workers and thanked them repeatedly for their hard work.

Reflecting on my childhood, I often recall the scene when my Mom encouraged me to speak on the stage. Now, decades later, I am grateful for her encouragement that instilled in me the life-long courage

to face challenges without fear and to move forward courageously.

A child from an ordinary family can indeed rise to great heights from humble beginnings.

I am grateful for the many years of hard work with my wife and family members and our colleagues who have faithfully supported us in our mission.

Today through our media, finance and cultural trade platforms we can contribute to society and the country by drawing upon our own skills and efforts. This lifetime is sufficient.
