歡迎幾內亞駐美大使卡巴到訪

西非幾內亞駐美國全權大使卡巴日前抵達休斯敦訪問,這是卡巴大使就任以來第三次來訪,做為幾內亞駐休斯敦之名譽總領事,我們已安排許多行程來促進美國和幾內亞兩國之文化經濟交流活動。

幾內亞位於非洲西部,面瀕大西洋,國土面稹有二十四萬五千八百平方公里,人口一千二百多萬,國內資源豐富鋁釩土儲量超過四百億噸，佔全球總量之百分之三十居世界第一位，其他礦藏還有鑽石,黃金,石墨等,在長達三百五十公里之海岸已初步發現有天然氣及石油。

卡巴大使此行除了拜會市政府及休斯敦第一機構之外，還安排前往萊斯大學360機構希望尋求對幾內亞之醫療資源援助，並於本週五下午在美南電視環球劇場舉辦一切前往幾內亞投資座談會,邀請各界人士參加座談。

我們正在加大力度做好這項接待和交流之外交工作,希望對幾內亞之進步和發展作出貢獻。

Welcoming Ambasador Kaba            

Of The Republic of Guinea 

Ambasador Kaba of the Republic of Guinea to the United States recently arrived in Houston for a visit. This is Ambasador Kaba’s third visit to Texas since taking office. As the Honorary Consular for Guinea in Houston , we have arranged many programs to promote cultural and economic exchange activities between the United States and Guinea. 

Guinea is located in west Africa, bordering on the Atlantic Ocean. Its land consists of 245,857 square kilometers, and its population is over 12 million. The country is rich in natural resources. Bauxite reserves exceed 40 million tons, accounting for 30%   of world’s total, ranking them first in the world. Other minerals include diamonds, gold, and graphite. Natural gas and oil have been preliminarily discovered along the 350-kilometer coastline. 

In addition to visiting the city‘s Houston First Corporation, Ambasador Kaba also arranged to go to Rice University to seek medical resource assistance for Guinea, and this Friday afternoon a symposium on ‘Investing in Guinea ‘ will be held at the STV Global Theatre.

We are stepping up our efforts to do a good job in this diplomatic work of reception and exchange, hoping to contribute to the progress and development of the country of Guinea.
