新領導班子上任

德州醫療界最大的哈里斯郡醫院系統基金會之新董事會成員週三上午宣誓就職,將由布羅魁士女士出任新一任主席，領導有五十多年之基金會繼續為大休斯敦之醫療界作出貢獻。在董事會之推荐下我也擔任了新一屆的副主席,繼續貢獻簿力為基金會之工作盡力。

基金會是一個非營利機構，主要之功能是為赫里斯郡所屬之醫院系統籌募經費來支持公立醫療系統之運作，為一般貧困市民提供服務，每年由赫里斯郡支列二十億之預算來為一般低收入市民服務。

其中最著名之本塔醫院及急救中心,詹森醫院都在這個醫療體系下運作。

基金會每年舉辦各項慈善活動向各界人士募款,每年從三千多萬元之基金之投資所得及慈款數百萬元捐贈給各大公立醫院，為廣大之貧困病人服務。

過去十五年來我曾參加基金會之工作,極盡所能,為社會作些貢獻。

The New Leadership Team Takes Office

The new Board of Directors of the Harris County Hospital District Foundation was sworn in on Wednesday. Kristin Blomquist was sworn in as the new Chair and will lead the organization in continuing to contribute to the medical community in Harris County and in the greater Houston area. I am very proud to serve as Vice Chairman. Outgoing Chair, Theo Franklin, finished his term with a very outstanding tenure of service to the Foundation.

Harris Hospital District Foundation is a nonprofit corporation that raises funds and public support through a public-private partnership. Included among them are five hospitals in the county.

Every year the Foundation holds various charity activities to raise funds for people from all walks of life. Our goal is to help all the public hospitals to serve the poor and needy people.

Over the past fifteen years, I have been so honored to serve and be a part of the Foundation and have tried my best to contribute to the community.
