電力供應公司公開向市民道歉

負責向大休斯敦地區供應電力的中央電力公司總裁瓦史今天公開向市民道歉,他表示最近發生在德州之貝利颱風所造成之傷害和停電無法給大家提供應有之服務,造成長時間之停電,我本人要向每一個人表示由衷之歉疚,並且保証這種情況不會再次發生。

兩個月來我們實施諸多措施,增強和改進我們的供電能力。在八月份就加裝了一千一百個新電線桿,更換二千英里之地下電纜,裝置三百多個自動系統來縮短斷電時間。

我們在十二𠆤郡內舉辦十九場座談會,面對面聽取用戶之意見,加强和用戶之溝通。我們非常欣賞中央供電公司之行為,立即改善陳舊之設施,使得電力系統能得到改善。


Centerpoint Energy CEO Publicly Apologized To The Public

Centerpoint Energy CEO Jason Wells apologized to the public recently and addressed the prolonged power outages following Hurricane Beryl.He said that, "We hear you 'loud and clear' that our response to Hurricane Beryl was unacceptable and did not meet our customers' and communities' expectations. Our customers were frustrated because the number of outages was too high, the length of outages was too long and our communication did not meet their expectations."

Two months ago the company launched a multiphase 'Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative' which included a broad range of actions to address the concerns of the people and strengthen the resiliency of the electrical power system.

We are very happy that Centerpoint Energy is taking the actions needed to improve the electrical power system to serve our community better.
