惠特曼市長跨世紀之市政藍圖

今年元月當休斯敦新市長惠特曼就任以來,全面展開勵精圖治之市政工作,除了首先改進治安工作之外,在全市展開修路基礎建設事項,並且推出跨世紀之一項大工程,以二十億美元預算擴建布朗會議中心,在二0二八年初全面完成會議中心園區,聚會議,文娛,教育,餐飲,各行業成為休斯敦發展文化觀光工商業之新地標。

過去三十七年以來,布朗會議中心為本市帶來了無數之大小會展,對促進本市之工商業有過極大之貢獻,數十年來休斯敦人口增加各行各業之興起已經擠進全國城市發展之前列。

我也非常榮幸被市長任命為休斯敦第一機構之理事之一 ,我們也是直接掌管建造會議中心之大任,為促進休斯敦文化經濟之繁榮而努力。

Mayor Whitmire‘s Cross-Century Municipal Blueprint

Since John Whitmire, the new mayor of Houston, took office in January of this year, he has steadily and aggressively launched many municipal works projects to stimulate his administration's governance. In addition to first improving public security, he has carried out city construction infrastructure and has launched the expansion of the George R. Brown Convention Center with a budget of $2 billion dollars. When the project is completed, the Convention Park area will become the gathering point for culture and entertainment conventions and will become a new landmark for the city.
Over the past 37 years, the Brown Convention Center has brought countless large and small conventions to the city, which has made a great contribution to the promotion of the city’s industry and commerce. However, over the decades, the population of the city has greatly increased, and today, more expansion and convention space is needed.
I am very honored to have been appointed by the Mayor as one of the Board members of HoustonFirst, which is in direct charge of the latest project.
