[飛虎]再次在德州大地起飛

參加中國對日抗戰，年輕的美國飛行官陳納德於一九四一年組成飛虎隊，全力抗戰日本軍國主義之侵略,這段歷史深深埋在中美兩國人民之心中。

今天我們非常感動為紀念陳納德將軍之航空學院及機塲，在他的孫女妮爾及眾多中美兩國國民之見證下在美國德州休斯敦近郊之康樂市舉行陳納德將軍銅像及機場之開幕之儀式。

我在致詞中高度讃揚發起人華裔企業家王先華先生之極大貢獻，建造了這座機埸和飛行學院，為我們華亞裔增光。

光陰荏苒，十年前美南新聞集團曾任發起有近三萬人在休斯敦市捧球場成功而且熱烈舉辦了紀念二次大戰結束七十週年大會,我們提醒世人勿忘戰爭之苦難，也是我人生中最值得記憶之一件大事。

歷史不容遺忘，中美兩國人民之友誼當永存。

Flying Tigers Fly In the Land Of Texas Again

Participating in China‘s War of Resistance Against Japan, General Channault, a young American pilot, formed the Flying Tigers Air Force in 1941 to fight against the invasion of China by the Japanese. This history is deeply buried in the hearts of many people in China and in the United States.

Today we were very moved to commemorate the opening ceremony of the General Channault Air Field and Flying School in Conroe Texas, under the witness of his granddaughter Nell Calloway and many Chinese and American citizens.

In my speech, I highly praised Mr. Wang, a visionary and noted Chinese American entrepreneur, for his great effort to build this project which honors the great and glorious history of our country.

Ten years ago, nearly 30,000 people successfully held a commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II in Houston's Minute Maid Park. 

We reminded the world not to forget the suffering of the war, which was also one of the most memorable events in my life.
