這是我們團結一致之時刻

由美南新聞主辦的首次社區治安大會定於四月三日下午二時在國際貿易中心舉行, 將由數十個華亞裔社團共同協助參與，更象徵我們社區之團結共同守護家園之決心.

近年來, 我們在西南區華埠和國際區之治安令人擔心, 許多犯罪組織成員向亞華裔人士下手，他們知道華亞裔們經常帶有現金,是囚徒下手之首選。

為了增強治安力量，國際區大部分之預算皆花費在雇用安保公司上以補充市警力之不足，但是許多搶刼打破車窗之事還是不斷發生。

我為了治安問題已向惠德曼市長報告，並希望他能出席四目三日之里民大會，聽取市民之意見。

我們呼籲大家踴躍參加並且發揮守望相助之精神。

 This Is The Moment For Unity

The first Community Public Safety Town Hall Meeting hosted by Southern News Group is scheduled to be held at the International Trade Center at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 3, and will be co- hosted by more than fifty Asian American community organizations. This response symbolizes the unity of our community and our collective determination to protect our safety together.

In recent years, the public safety in southwestern Chinatown and in the International District has been worrying. Many criminal organizations have been attracted to our people, especially Asian Americans who often carry cash and Jewelry.

In order to improve the security, we are spending most of our International District budget on a private security company, but many cases, including the breaking of car windows are still happening.

I have reported to Mayor Whitmire on the problems, and I hope he can attend the town hall meeting on April 3rd.

We call on everyone to participate actively and help each other.
