Medicaid Will Face Great Challenges

Medicaid is a joint program between the federal and state governments that subsidizes eligible people with limit income

for all their medical expenses. Those people may receive such assistance as nursing home care, transportation service, dental care, vision care, metal health care, and more.

In order to save the federal budget, the Trump administration is preparing to cut the cost on so called "White Cards," especially with drastic reductions in subsidies for many public hospitals, which will be a major challenge to the welfare of the poor.

Over the years, a majority of Asian Chinese seniors have become White-Card holders and have received many benefits including preferential treatment for housing, medical and free lunch service. It is foreseeable that they will be affected in the future.
