- Sept 14: Super Saturday: Mid-Autumn Fun (Asia Society)
- In September's Mid-Autumn Fun event, explore the traditions and meaning behind this popular holiday through stories, dances, and crafts. Look forward to a storytime and make your own craft mooncakes! Start the day with all-ages crafts celebrating Mid-Autumn traditions — including traditional lanterns, playdough mooncakes, and bunny fans inspired by the Jade Rabbit folktale — as well as a scavenger hunt through our building. Learn about the legend of the moon goddess Chang'e through a performance presented by the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO), then enjoy a lively Techno Prince dance blending traditional and modern elements. The event concludes with a theatrical play depicting the mythical origins of the Mid-Autumn Festival, presented by the Houston Hanfu Association, and a colorful poetry performance by the North American Poetry Group.

- The Vietnamese Culture and Science Association has partnered with Children's Museum Houston to bring this amazing event to life. The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a yearly festival celebrated in Chinese culture. Similar holidays are celebrated in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and other Asian countries. Take part in this elegant and culturally rich WonderWeek with various Mid-Autumn Festival activities around the museum, all leading up to Saturday, September 30 celebrations!

- Circle Around the Moon is a premier multicultural celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing together Houston's diverse communities for two days of cultural exchange, entertainment, and shared traditions. Hosted on October 11–12, 2025, at the prime 4-acre tract in the heart of Katy Asian Town & Marketplace, the event will feature live performances, lantern displays, mooncake tastings, storytelling, and interactive activities such as the "Passport Book Prize Program".
