在體育領域,休斯敦職業棒球隊太空人隊近期也表現亮眼,延長賽中以5比4擊敗洛杉矶天使隊,爲城市增添更多體育激情與榮耀。

As the tournament approaches, Houston’s preparations are largely complete. From transportation and airport services to upgrades in urban infrastructure, local authorities are working diligently to ensure smooth operations throughout the event, providing guests from around the world with a safe, convenient, and memorable experience.

As an important gateway to the world, Houston’s two major international airports—George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (Hobby Airport)—have strengthened their reception capacity and enhanced passenger services. At the same time, the city’s public transportation system has increased service capacity, encouraging residents and visitors to make greater use of public transit and helping reduce congestion during the tournament.

To enhance emergency medical preparedness, the City of Houston has invested in 50 additional ambulances and strengthened medical teams and emergency response systems to ensure public safety during large-scale events. In addition, a new green corridor connecting downtown Houston with the stadium district has officially opened, providing residents and visitors with a more environmentally friendly and healthy transportation option.

During the tournament, the highly anticipated FIFA Fan Festival will take place in Houston from June 12 to July 19. Meanwhile, Houston will also be entering hurricane season. Authorities are reminding residents and visitors to stay informed about weather conditions and prepare emergency supplies and drinking water in advance to ensure safe travel during the tournament.
