今天上午，休斯敦市長 John Whitmire（約翰・惠特邁） 蒞臨美南新聞集團訪問，親自走進社區，與社區領袖交流，傾聽民意，了解地方發展需求，充分展現他貼近民眾、重視基層的施政精神。對於市長親臨美南新聞集團，我們深感榮幸，也備受鼓舞。

Listening to Residents and Demonstrating Strong Support for Houston’s Asian Community

This morning, Houston Mayor John Whitmire visited the Southern News Group headquarters, taking time to meet with community leaders, listen to local concerns, and learn more about the needs and aspirations of our community. It was a great honor and privilege to welcome him.

Mayor Whitmire’s visit reflected his hands-on and people-centered approach to public service. More importantly, it demonstrated his sincere commitment to Houston’s Asian American community. Since taking office, Mayor Whitmire has actively promoted inclusion, embraced diversity, and appointed more than a dozen outstanding Asian American leaders to key positions within the City of Houston. His leadership clearly reflects the principles of equal opportunity, merit-based appointments, and unity among all communities.

For many years, Southern News Group has remained committed to serving the community, strengthening cultural understanding, promoting economic development, and building meaningful partnerships between government and the diverse communities of Houston. We firmly believe that close cooperation between the public and private sectors is essential to creating a stronger, safer, and more prosperous city for everyone.
