庆祝政治大学九十四年校庆

在中国政治史，黄埔军校和政治大学扮演了重要的角色， 我也非常有幸在台北木栅度过了四年的政大岁月。

当越战在如火如荼地进行时， 台湾迎来了経济发展史上的契机 ，八十年代跃上亚洲四小龙之首， 记得在政大的食堂中， 只要五元台币就可以吃到一荤二素的午餐，在群山环绕的校园中，还有一条命名為醉梦溪， 二十年前武侠小说大师金庸也曾到访，他也是当年在重庆政大前身中央政治学校的学生。

我的大学生活有些例外，大学一年级之暑期实习，改变了我的命运。 凭着勇气硬挤进了当年最权威的中国广播公司，谋得一份助理编辑之小职位，每天晚上八点準时到班，清晨一点才离开，不到数小时之睡眠，就得再赶到政大的公车，日子虽异常辛苦，但是对一个未满二十的年轻人，就有能力买上一台机车及合身的西装，在校园𥚃驾机车呼啸而过，真有几分拉风的感觉， 四年来几乎每週矌课、遅到、打盹，不过总算在许多恩师的高枱贵手之下得到毕业文凭。

今天正逢母校创校九十四週年的大喜日子，从重庆到台北，中国命运之脉动发生了翻天覆地的变化，我们选择了终身献给媒体事业的道路，从来就没有退缩和遗憾过。

指南山下的年轻岁月，犹如一道彩虹，它永远烙在我们的生命中。

Celebrating The 94th Birthday Of Chengchi University

Ninety-four years ago the National Chengchi University was established in Chung Ching, China. People who graduated from the university have been joining the nation’s affairs in many areas. I was so lucky to finish my college degree in Taiwan.

In the late 1960’s when the Vietnam war started in southeast Asia, Taiwan created an economic opportunity and later became one of four Asian tigers. During our college days we could eat a full meal with meat and vegetables for just five Taiwan dollars.

Chengchi University is located in the beautiful Taipei suburbs with surrounding mountains. When I was a freshman in college, I had the opportunity be an intern at 

a local radio station. I was also lucky enough to stay and became a junior assistant editor. Because of my hard-working attitude,  I was able to become full-time employee. 

I was not even twenty years old. I was able to buy a motorcycle and a new suit in the campus store. Those were my “glory” days at the university.

During that time I had to work the night shift from 8:00 pm until 1:00 am in the morning. I just could just catch enough sleep and then go on to class, so I was so glad after four years that I still got my diploma.

Today when I look back at my college days I have no regrets. When I finally came to America I went into the news business. Until now I am so appreciative of my many professors and bosses. They were the ones who changed my life.
