We Cannot Swim Against The Tide Of History
The U.S. government announced yesterday a temporary exemption for non-immigrant students taking online classes due to the coronavirus pandemic. Starting with the Fall 2020 semester, F-1 and M-1 student attending schools operating entirely online may not take a full online course load and remain in the United States. The State Department will not issue visas to student enrolled in schools that are fully online.
At the same time, the White House also announced that the U.S. government has formally withdrawn from the World Health Organization.
We are so angry and don’t understand why at such a critical pandemic time we are cutting ties with and getting out of WHO! The coronavirus is a worldwide problem. We still have our own people suffering all over the country. We can blame other countries, but this is almost six months of suffering with the virus and the federal government has no effective measure to stop it. We should work with WHO and the all countries to find a solution. Not just abandon and leave. Is this the America that is still the leader of the world? We have almost reached close to three million confirmed cases now and what are we going to do?
We need your support to write a letter to the White House, to sign a petition to our government to express our anger and anxiety.
Dear Brothers and Sisters -This is the time we all need to wake up. We cannot swim against the tide of history.
