我見 我聞 我思

慶祝政治大學九十四年校慶

在中國政治史，黃埔軍校和政治大學扮演了重要的角色， 我也非常有幸在台北木栅度過了四年的政大歲月。

當越戰在如火如荼地進行時， 台灣迎來了経濟發展史上的契機 ，八十年代躍上亞洲四小龍之首， 記得在政大的食堂中， 只要五元台幣就可以吃到一葷二素的午餐，在群山環繞的校園中，還有一條命名為醉夢溪， 二十年前武俠小說大師金庸也曾到訪，他也是當年在重慶政大前身中央政治學校的學生。

我的大學生活有些例外，大學一年級之暑期實習，改變了我的命運。 憑著勇氣硬擠進了當年最權威的中國廣播公司，謀得一份助理編輯之小職位，每天晚上八點準時到班，清晨一點才離開，不到數小時之睡眠，就得再赶到政大的公車，日子雖異常辛苦，但是對一個未滿二十的年輕人，就有能力買上一台機車及合身的西裝，在校園𥚃驾機車呼嘯而過，真有幾分拉風的感覺， 四年來幾乎每週矌課、遅到、打盹，不過總算在許多恩師的高枱贵手之下得到畢業文憑。

今天正逢母校創校九十四週年的大喜日子，從重慶到台北，中國命運之脈動發生了翻天覆地的變化，我們選擇了終身獻給媒體事業的道路，從來就沒有退縮和遺憾過。

指南山下的年輕歲月，猶如一道彩虹，它永遠烙在我們的生命中。

Celebrating The 94th Birthday Of Chengchi University

Ninety-four years ago the National Chengchi University was established in Chung Ching, China. People who graduated from the university have been joining the nation’s affairs in many areas. I was so lucky to finish my college degree in Taiwan.

In the late 1960’s when the Vietnam war started in southeast Asia, Taiwan created an economic opportunity and later became one of four Asian tigers. During our college days we could eat a full meal with meat and vegetables for just five Taiwan dollars.

Chengchi University is located in the beautiful Taipei suburbs with surrounding mountains. When I was a freshman in college, I had the opportunity be an intern at 

a local radio station. I was also lucky enough to stay and became a junior assistant editor. Because of my hard-working attitude,  I was able to become full-time employee. 

I was not even twenty years old. I was able to buy a motorcycle and a new suit in the campus store. Those were my “glory” days at the university.

During that time I had to work the night shift from 8:00 pm until 1:00 am in the morning. I just could just catch enough sleep and then go on to class, so I was so glad after four years that I still got my diploma.

Today when I look back at my college days I have no regrets. When I finally came to America I went into the news business. Until now I am so appreciative of my many professors and bosses. They were the ones who changed my life.

Happy birthday and 94th anniversary to Chingchi University.
