戰爭和貧窮同樣可怕

成千上萬的中南美洲難民正在不斷涌向美墨邊境，使德州邊境城市宣佈進入緊急狀態， 這些攜老扶幼的難民涉水進入美國國境， 流宿在天寒地凍的大街上， 令人同情和憐憫 ，在此同時，世足賽冠軍阿根廷由梅西率領回到布宜愛利斯， 但是半數生活在貧窮缐下的國民正遭受百分之九十通貨膨脹之経済壓力，遠在歐洲的烏克蘭繼續遭受戰爭之蹂躝 ，近千萬人也生活在苦難之中。

近百年來 ，墨西哥和許多中南美洲國家和美國不但是近隣，而且是唇齒相依之大後園 ，為什広経濟一直無法發展 ？老實說，美國應該負有許多責任， 多年來我們一直重視是何人當選了總統 ，而對経濟上之援助相對不足， 這些地區之國民他們終身願望就是逃到美國尋求未來之生存活路。

今天的難民潮是沒有辦法澈底解決之大問題， 如果我們的後院生活著千萬的窮人，他們的指望只有冒險求生存。

我們寄望國會諸公能早日通過新的移民法案，如何落實更多的合法合格難民來美繼續補充勞力之不足， 也更要正視和大力協助該地區之経濟發展， 才是根本解決之道。

Poverty Is As Terrible As War

Thousands of refugees are crossing the U.S. border at the city of El Paso and the city’s mayor has declared a state of emergency. These people are living on the frozen, cold streets. At the same time, the FIFA champions of Argentina have returned to Buenos Aires led by Messi. But even in that country, half of all the people still live in poverty and the inflation rate of the country is at 90%. In Europe, the war in Ukraine is still going on. Millions of refugees have left their homes and now live with much suffering.

Over the past hundreds of years, Mexico and Central American countries and the United States have not just been neighbors, but also the backyard of America. To be honest, we should bear some responsibility because we have been paying too much attention to who becomes the next president and leader in other countries with relatively insufficient aid to the region. The people’s lifelong wish is to escape to America for a better life.

Today’s wave of refugees is a big problem that can’t be immediately solved. If there are tens of millions of poor people living in our backyard, they can only take the risk to survive.

We hope the U.S. Congress will pass a comprehensive immigration bill that will address all the problems along our southern border and find real solutions.
