東盟國家之興起

來到馬來西亞吉隆坡走在街頭發現週圍還在繼續基建工程， 並且到處都是年輕人， 這充分說明這個國家正在不斷之發展。

東盟各國近年來因為政治較為安定， 由新加坡為首之各國正在卯足全力為國家建設而努力。尤其是過去二十多年來， 無論是教育經濟方面都取得重大成就。

無可諱言， 華人及中國大陸有着重大之影響 ，這些國家之經濟命脈幾乎撑握在華人手中 ，如今和中國大陸之交往更是得心應手。

回顧當年在英國、荷蘭等帝國主義殖民時代， 幾乎把各地之資源掃刮一空， 對於當地之建設非常稀少。 今天大家都先後獨立成為束東盟國家， 尤其是如何改善民生及經濟方面都非常盡力。

我們欣見吉隆波大小商塲人頭鑽動， 中國外名牌店及米其林餐廳幾乎客滿 ，代表了中產階級之興起。

帶著無限之校友情誼，我們即將前往新加坡繼續我們的訪問行程。

Booming In Asia 

On this visit to Malaysia we saw many young people on the streets in this region and the economy is booming. 

In recent years the political situation in this region has stabilized and many of the people have more opportunities                                                                                                                                 to start a business which creates a strong middle class. 

Many big and fancy shopping malls and tall buildings are still under construction in the city, but we still see some 

traditional residential homes among the tall buildings. It will take time to develop into a fully modern community. 

We were very happy to meet so many of our alumnae friends in Malaysia, a country that plays a very important role in Asia.

As we look back in history, many countries were under British rule until they got their independence. These days, most 

countries understand how important it is to improve the people's living standard and this thinking is the central issue for 

their leaders. 

We will wind up our visit and go to Singapore this weekend.
