慶祝幾內亞國慶

旅居美國德州地區之幾內亞社區人士定於本週六在休斯敦舉辦一整天之國慶慶祝活動， 將有來自德州聖安東尼、、 奧斯丁、 達拉斯等地之僑民參加。 

慶祝大會有各項舞蹈音樂表演， 各種文化傳統服裝來慶祝幾內亞共和國之誕生。

歷史上幾內亞曾經被葡萄牙及法國殖民，於一九五八年十月二日宣佈獨立 。2021 年九月五日軍人敦布亞發動政變組成過渡政府。 幾內亞西瀕大西洋，北隣幾內亞比紹塞內加尓， 人口一千三百萬， 國土面積2 4.59 萬平方公里。 盛產鋁釩土 ，儲量400億噸，佔世界第一位 ，並且在沿海大陸架已經發現石油， 極待開發各種礦物石油資源。

三年前自我被任命為幾內亞駐德州名譽總領事以來， 曾舉辦數次幾內亞投資研討會。 由於新冠疫情關係， 一直未能前往幾內亞訪問， 月前在和新任幾內亞駐美大使卡貝讨論後決定年內組成投資考察團前往訪問。

對於這項外交任務，我本人感到無比之榮幸 ，並決心擔任好兩國在文化經濟及政府溝通之工作，這也是我多年想當一名外交官之志願。

 Guinea’s National Day Celebration

The Guinean communities living in Texas are scheduled to hold a full-day National Day celebration in Houston this Saturday which will be attended by people from San Antonio, Austin and Dallas. 

The celebration will include various dance and musical performances with traditional costumes to celebrate the birth of the Republic of Guinea. 

Historically, Guinea was colonized by Portugal and France. On October 2, 1958, Guinea declared its independence. 

Guinea’s western border is on the north of the Atlantic Ocean. The pollution is 13 million parts of 245,000 square meters. The country is rich with aluminum reserves of 40 billions tons which is the first in the world. The  oil was found just lately. The country is very ready to develop its various mineral and petroleum resources.

Since I was appointed as the Honorary Consul for Guinea at Houston three years ago, we have held several Guinean investment seminars. Due to the Covid epidemic, we have not been able to visit Guinea. 

I feel extremely honored for this diplomatic task and I am determined to try my best to continue to promote the relationship between our two countries.
