華裔學子出類拔萃

週末參加了休斯敦華裔醫師協年年會，數百位華裔醫生及十多位榮獲獎學金之醫學院學生們參加了盛會。

在大會上，這些得獎的同學們在會上談到她們之學習過程及未來之抱負，他們不但談吐優雅而且多半都感激自已父母對他們多年之栽培，令人感動。

今天的華亞裔家長們，他們對子女之教育十分重視，許多父母來到美國之原因，是希望下一代能在比較自由之氣氛中接受教育，其中不乏許多品學兼優之同學，他們學有專長，大部份已成為社會中堅份子。

今晚我也代表環球第一銀行贈送了一份獎學金，給予在學之醫學院同學，希望他們能繼續努力為華裔增光。

Outstanding Performances By Chinese Americans Students

Over the weekend I attended the Annual Gala of the Houston Chinese American Doctors Association. Hundreds of doctors and over seventeen scholarship-winning medical students attended the event.

In the party, these award-winning students spoke about their learning experiences and future aspirations. They not only spoke elegantly, but also expressed sincere gratitude towards their parents for their years of guidance and nurturing, which was very moving.

Today Chinese and Asian parents place great importance on their children’s education. Many parents came to the United States with the hope that the next generation would receive their education in a more liberal atmosphere. Among them there are many outstanding students who have excelled academically and have become pillars of society.

We also represented Global One Bank and donated a scholarship with hopes that they will continue their journey in education.
