Fox News Retired Anchor

Longtime acquaintance and Houston Fox News television anchor Jose Grinan visited our office last Friday for a gathering with old friends.

The reunion was filled with joy and nostalgic conversations along with reminiscing about the past. Years ago, I took a group of young Shaolin monks to his morning news program, causing a stir in martial arts community.

Jose, a Cuban-American, spent decades in the media industry, with over thirty years as an anchor and host with Fox Channel 26 News.      He has witnessed the growth and changes in Houston over the years, showing a deep affection for the city.

We both have supported and encouraged each other at various events and gatherings, being part of minority communities as Asians and minority descendant individuals. Our shared experiences have brought us closer together.

Jose’s retirement marks the end of an era in his illustrious media career, where he has left a significant impact on the  community with his humor, wit and dedication to journalism.

The evolving  landscape of the news industry and Jose’s departure signify a new chapter for him and the Houston TV media.
