我們是國際大家庭

多位代表華亞及太平洋群島之代表，週四中午參加了我主持之國際區理事會，由巴基斯坦裔之默罕麥代表向我們簡報即將在七月下旬在休斯敦市舉辦亞裔太平洋島嶼社區年會，屆時將有來自全美各地之代表數百人參加，共同討論大家所關心之各項議程，國際區同時通過捐助一萬美元來支持年會。

事實上,今天蒞臨的代表都是我們多年之伙伴好友,他們在各行各業都有非常𠎀出之表現 ,最令人感動的是對社區推動各種慈善公益事業也非常努力，如今我們在國際區取得之成就都是大家共同努力之成果。

我們今天非常高興在這塊土地上之耕耘得到社會之認可,千萬來自全世界之移民在此落葉生根成為一個國際大家庭。

WE ARE An International Family

A number of AARP representatives attended the monthly IMD meeting chaired by myself at noon on Thursday. Chairman Mohammed briefed us on the upcoming Asian Pacific Islanders Annual Convention in Houston scheduled for late     

July of this year. Hundreds of  representatives from all over the nation will participate in a joint session. Our committee is donating $10,000 dollars to the convention. 

In fact, today's representatives have been our friends and partners for 

the last several years. They have performed very well in all walks of life. The most touching thing is that they have also worked very hard to promote various charitable and public welfare undertakings throughout the whole community. 

Today we are so grateful that our many contributions to this land are being recognized by society. We    are strongly rooted in this great nation and have become a vital   

and important part of the American landscape.
