我們在書寫新的歷史篇章

二百四十五年前美利堅共和國誕生，在極短之歷史過程中建造成為世界第一强國,來自世界各地之移民從四方八面來到這塊土地追求我們的美國夢,包括我們在內為了追求更美好之生活,數十年後我們成為了生於斯,長於斯之一份子。

經過長期之籌措努力,在各界政經社區團體之支援下,首屆休斯敦國際博覧會即將在本週三揭幕，代表了我們對社會之一份貢獻和承諾。

我們也非常榮幸邀請到十七位駐在德州休斯敦各國總領使外交大使出席,其中包括安哥拉,加拿大,法國,伊拉克,義大利,韓國,土耳其,蓋亞那,巴基斯坦,土耳其,菲律賓,日本 ,瑞典,俄羅斯,印度尼西亞,衣索比亞,幾內亞等十七個國家。我們也將向六位傑出之各界人士頒授獎狀,並由市長惠特曼親自主持.

在週四整天之日程中,我們將就當前之經濟,文化,教育,地產,醫療,太空問題舉行座談會,午餐將由美國银行休斯敦地區之總裁張紅女士發表主旨演講,同時慶祝國際貿易中心成立二十二年之晚宴將請市長為主講人。

我們對於這項國際盛會寄予極大之信心和期盼,這必將在美國移民社區之歷史上增添新頁。

We Are Writing A New Chapter In History

Following the birth of the United States 245 years ago, it has become the world’s most powerful country in a relatively short period of time. Millions of immigrants have come to this land from all over the world to pursue their American Dream.
Many years later, many of us have become very important backbones of our nation. With your help and the support of federal, city and many elected officials, we finally can host our first Houston International Expo.

We are also very honored that 17 diplomatic consul generals will attend the Expo, including the countries of Angola, Canada, France, Iraq, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, Guyana, Pakistan, the Philippines, Japan, Sweden, Russia, Indonesia, Ethiopia and Guinea. We will also present special awards to six outstanding people from all walks of life.

On Thursday at the Expo, we will hold a symposium on current world economics, culture, education, real estate, medical and space issues. At the luncheon, the president of the Bank of America, Zhang Hong, will deliver his keynote address.

We have great confidence and expectations for this great event, which will certainly open a new page in the history of the American immigrant community.
