美好的仗已經打過了

認識黃繼榮牧師是多年前在他探視岳父母時聆聽了他對老人家們之慰問和關懐,他開懷的笑聲至今記憶猶新。

週六上午參加了黃牧師之安息禮拜,我們共同緬懷和慶祝他在世上的八十五個歲月,為他的生命中烙下了令人感動之歲月,一生奉獻給宗教走完了人生道路，美好的仗已經打完了。

自美南新聞創刋迄今,我們的週末版上一直刊有福音版,從未收取分文,我常對同仁們說宗教是要人為善,信仰是一種無比之力量，媒體之存在是紥根於社區,我們一定要盡力為大家服務。

黃牧師之卓越領導於1991年在休斯敦西區創建西區中國教會，數千上萬之信衆以此為精神所託之家，他的愛心和努力令人感動和敬佩。

歷史之長河留下無數人之足跡，黃牧師之笑容永烙我們心中。

  I Have Fought The Good Fight

I met Pastor Kevin Wong many years ago when I listened to his condolences and sympathy for the elderly, including my mother-in-law. His laughter is 

still fresh in my memory.

On Saturday, we attended Pastor Wong‘s final resting service. We commemorated and celebrated his 85 years in the world, and highlighted the touching years of his life. He devoted his life to religion and has now completed his life's path and the beautiful battle is over.

Since the founding of Southern News Group, one weekend edition has been published as the Gospel Edition. I often say to my colleagues that religion is to do good to people and faith is an incomparable power. Our media is rooted in the community and we must try our best to serve everyone.

Under the leadership of Pastor Wong, he founded the West Houston Chinese Church in 1991, and thousands of followers took it as their spiritual home. His life and efforts were touching and admirable.

The long review of history leaves the footprints of countless people, and Pastor Wong’s smile will always be in our hearts.
