參加支持惠特曼市長大會

週四下午數百位支持休斯敦市長大會在橡園大酒店召開,大會由該酒店董事長暨即將出任美國駐義大利大使蒂門主持,他盛讚市長在就任一年多來已經改變了市府治安及政府之效力,他是位真正為大家服務的好公僕。

市長在會中感謝大家之支持,他上任後首要任務就是整理治安，簡化行政效率，整理市內交通增強警力，目前已經非常見效，但是他希望全體市民共同参與共建美好和諧之家園。

市長上任一年多來，先後任命了十多位華亞裔人士出任市府職位,並極力推動多元文化之和諧發展,並對我們國際區之發展高度讃譽。

昨晚出席之華亞裔社區領袖皆向市長表示祝賀。

Attending The Rally In Support Of Mayor Whitmire

On Thursday afternoon, hundreds of supporters gathered at the Post Oak Hotel for a fund raising party in support of Houston Mayor Whitmire.The event was hosted by Mr. Fertitta, chairman of the hotel’s board and the incoming U.S. Ambassador to Italy. In his remarks, Mr. Fertitta praised the mayor for his accomplishments in his first year in office, highlighting significant improvements in public safety and governmental efficiency. He commended the mayor as a true public servant committed to serving the people.

Mayor Whitmire expressed his gratitude to the attendees, stating that his top priorities upon taking office were restoring public safety, streamlining administrative procedures, improving traffic conditions, and strengthening law enforcement. While these efforts have already shown visible results, he emphasized the importance of community-wide participation in building a safe, harmonious, and thriving city.

Over the past year, Mayor Whitmire has appointed

more than a dozen Asian American leaders to city government positions and has actively promoted multicultural harmony. He also expressed strong support for the development of the International District.

Asian American community leaders in attendance extended their congratulations and appreciation to the mayor for his inclusive leadership.
