Nicole Lee Co-emceed 2026 Texas Chinese Lunar New year Festive!

The Texas Lunar New Year Festival, the largest minority community event in Houston, grandly held on February 14, 2026, at the Alief Career Center. Hosted annually by the Houston International District, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the festival. U.S. Congressman Al Green and Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller attended the celebration in person to offer their congratulations.

Nicole Lee, senior from Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA), was invited to serve as one of the five emcees of the event. The youngest of them all — a 17-year-old music student with rich stage experience since elementary school — impressed the crowd of thousands with her confidence and fluent bilingual (Chinese-English) hosting during stage introductions and prize drawings, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The performances kicked off with vibrant dragon and lion dances, followed by a variety of cultural shows including ethnic dances, Chinese folk music, Brazilian samba, Filipino hula, Nepalese duet dance, Indian classical dance, Peking opera, Chinese national fans dance and singing performances, creating a colorful artistic spectacle. Hourly prize drawings kept the excitement high, with large-screen TVs, iPads, and cash red envelopes being given away throughout the day. The venue was filled with joy and a strong festive atmosphere.

While artistic performances dazzled on stage, visitors enjoyed an array of international cuisines and handicraft booths offstage, attracting American visitors of all ethnic backgrounds. Everyone praised the Texas Lunar New Year Festival as an amazing event and said, “We’ll definitely come again next year!”

休斯頓規模最大的少數民族社區活動--德州新年園遊會，2026年2月14日在Alief Career Center盛大舉行，每年的德州新年園遊會由休斯頓國際區主辦，今年是第30屆，美國國會議員Al Green、德州農業廳長Sid Miller親自到場祝賀。

Kinder HSPVA的12年學生Nicole Lee被邀請爲現場的5位主持人之一，這位最年輕的主持人---17歲的音樂系高中生從小學起就有著豐富的舞台表演經驗，面對上千人的現場，臨場不懼，用流利的中英雙語在舞台上報幕、抽獎，贏得了觀衆的熱列掌聲。

現場表演由精彩的舞龍舞獅拉開序幕，各種民族舞蹈、中國民樂、巴西熱舞桑巴、菲律賓草裙舞、尼泊爾雙人舞、印度舞、京劇表演、唱歌等文藝節目豐富多彩，現場每小時還有一次抽獎活動，大電視、iPad、現金紅包不斷抽出，現場歡聲雷動、洋溢著喜慶的節日氣氛。
