精神疾病之重大隐忧

年轻貌美的哈里斯郡法官赫大哥因忧鬱症需请假休养，以她在政坛上之地位这是她做出非常大胆之告白。 

根据德州一项最新之统计， 德州州民有百分之二十一患有精神疾病者没有健康保险， 而我们设有之公立诊疗所是全美比例最少的州 ， 其中有赫里斯郡医疗中心及德州医疗中心设有少数之诊所。

今天社会变迁及生活之压力造成人们在精神上之创伤， 就连我们的郡法官都遭受到精神忧郁病之苦， 何况是一般大眾， 尤其是没有保险者， 更是求助无门。

我们对於这位来自哥伦比亚之移民能登上政治舞台是大家的榜样， 我们十分敬佩她面对现实之勇气， 也希望她能早日康復， 再登上政治舞台 ，為社会国家继续服务。

Major Hidden Worries About Mental Illness

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo made a personal decision to seek help for her depression. Her action really opens up an important issue for our society today. 

According to a survey, 21% of Texans with mental illness have no medical insurance and we are among the areas with the fewest mental health treatment centers. But we do have a strong mental health organization in Harris County that can help to advocate for mental health service. But they need more support from our community. 

Today’s fast pace of social changes and the pressures of life have caused most people’s mental trauma today. Even our county judge has suffered from mental depression. What’s more, the general public, especially those with insurance coverage, have no way to ask for help. 

Judge Hidalgo is an immigrant from Colombia. She is a role model for all of us. We admire her courage to face reality and get professional help. We hope she will recover soon and return to serving our community.
