我们即将挥别2024

俄乌战争,加萨走廊暴行与空难,南韩政治闹剧,中美关係恶化,民主党惨败,川普捲土重来,我们即将挥别2024年,迎向新的2025年。

王者归来的前总统川普在他要美国重新伟大之政治号召下,迫不及待地推出了眾多新政,诸如立即驱逐成千上万之非法移民,对加拿大及墨西哥加徵关税,收回巴拿马运河,全面削减政府开支,退出许多国际组织,立即大力开探天然气及石油,这些举措引起世界各国高度不安和焦虑。

今天我们生活在美国的华亚裔人士, 将来会面临更多之挑战,主要是国内民族主义意识之高涨,对非白人族群形成潜在之歧视,加上中美两大国之关係如果持续恶化,将会直接影响华裔在美国之处境。

然而,我们必须认清美国本来就是一个种族大熔炉之移民国家,在宪法之保障下,我们必须团结起来共同维护自己的权益和尊严。

川普在竞选时之诺言是要人民生活得更好,要美国重新强大,我们拭目以待,所幸选票仍然撑握在我们手中。

We Are About To Say Goodbye To 2024

With the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, the atrocities and disasters in the Gaza corridor, the political farce in Southern Korea, the deterioration of Sino- US relations, the defeat of the Democratic Party, and the comeback of President Trump, we are about to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome in the new year of 2025.

The return of the king, former President Trump can’t wait to launch many new policies under his political call to "Make America Great Again"with actions to includethe immediate expulsion millions of illegal immigrants, the increase of tariffs on Canada and Mexico, the taking back of the Panama Canal, the comprehensive reduction of government spending and the withdrawal from many international organizations. These measures are already causing high anxiety in many countries around the world.

Today, Chinese Americans living in this country will face more challenges, mainly due to the rise of domestic nationalism and the formation of potential discriminatory actions targeted against certain ethnic groups.

However, we must recognize that our nation originally has been an immigrant country, a melting pot of race. Under the protection of the constitution, we must unite to protect our rights, our interests and our dignity.
