An Open Letter From The Texas Department Of Agriculture To Our Global Friends

Dear Friends Around the World,

It is with deep gratitude for a great honor that I share the news of my appointment by Texas Agriculture Commissioner Mr. Sid Miller to the position of Honorary Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture. This is not only a personal recognition, but most importantly a responsibility—to carry the spirit of Texas beyond our borders and build bridges of friendship and cooperation with the entire world.

Texas is a land blessed with sunshine, vast skies, fertile soil, and thriving farms and ranches. Our people are hard-working, warm, and welcoming—just like this land itself. Agriculture in Texas is more than food and crops; it is a bond that connects us to one another across nations and cultures.

Today, in this new role, I extend my heartfelt invitation to all of you: Let us join our hands together to foster deeper cooperation between Texas and countries around the globe—in agriculture, economy, culture, science, and beyond. Together, we can share knowledge and resources, meet the challenges of our times, and create a future of mutual prosperity.
