我去投票了

大休斯敦及赫里斯郡之投票已经在週一正式开始， 我昨天也去投票了。 事实上，我深感这是我们的一项神圣任务和责任，以参与公共事务表达我们的意见。

多年来， 我们生活在美国这块土地上， 大部分已经加入美国籍， 我们就应该去投票， 去选出适当之政治人物来治理这个城市和国家。

许多人对於参政抱有非常冷淡之态度， 他们觉得政治是令人反感且事不关已， 更谈不上去投票了。 

今天看看我们居住的城市周边及华府联邦政府真的令人十分担心， 治安、 经济及国际险恶之情势， 都会影响我们的社区和国家前途， 正所谓国家兴亡匹夫有责。

我们希望华亚裔社区要稹极动员起来去登记為选民， 不论任何地方和全国选举都要去投上一票 ，这才会显示我们的力量。

 I Went To Vote

The early voting in Houston and Harris County officially started on Monday. I also went to vote yesterday. In fact, I deeply feel that this is a sacred task and a meaningful and honorable responsibility to participate in the voting process to express our opinions. 

For many years we have lived in this land. Most of us have become citizens. We should all go out and vote to select the appropriate politicians to lead the city and country. 

Many people have a very indifferent attitude towards political participation. They think politics is offensive and that their vote doesn’t matter anymore. 

Today it is very worrying to look at the true periphery of the city where we live and the federal government in D.C.  Public safety, economics and wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, all of these issues will affect the future of our lives. 

We deeply hope that all of our people will register and go out to vote. We need to be in control of our own destiny.
