新领导班子上任

德州医疗界最大的哈里斯郡医院系统基金会之新董事会成员週三上午宣誓就职,将由布罗魁士女士出任新一任主席，领导有五十多年之基金会继续為大休斯敦之医疗界作出贡献。在董事会之推荐下我也担任了新一届的副主席,继续贡献簿力為基金会之工作尽力。

基金会是一个非营利机构，主要之功能是為赫里斯郡所属之医院系统筹募经费来支持公立医疗系统之运作，為一般贫困市民提供服务，每年由赫里斯郡支列二十亿之预算来為一般低收入市民服务。

其中最着名之本塔医院及急救中心,詹森医院都在这个医疗体系下运作。

基金会每年举办各项慈善活动向各界人士募款,每年从三千多万元之基金之投资所得及慈款数百万元捐赠给各大公立医院，為广大之贫困病人服务。

过去十五年来我曾参加基金会之工作,极尽所能,為社会作些贡献。

The New Leadership Team Takes Office

The new Board of Directors of the Harris County Hospital District Foundation was sworn in on Wednesday. Kristin Blomquist was sworn in as the new Chair and will lead the organization in continuing to contribute to the medical community in Harris County and in the greater Houston area. I am very proud to serve as Vice Chairman. Outgoing Chair, Theo Franklin, finished his term with a very outstanding tenure of service to the Foundation.

Harris Hospital District Foundation is a nonprofit corporation that raises funds and public support through a public-private partnership. Included among them are five hospitals in the county.

Every year the Foundation holds various charity activities to raise funds for people from all walks of life. Our goal is to help all the public hospitals to serve the poor and needy people.

Over the past fifteen years, I have been so honored to serve and be a part of the Foundation and have tried my best to contribute to the community.
