庆祝厄瓜多尔国庆

At the invitation of Ambassador Luis Espinosa Salas, Consul General of Ecuador in Houston, yesterday I attended their country's National Day reception and trade exhibition. The event was vibrant and well-attended, showcasing Ecuador’s rich cultural heritage and strengthening ties with Houston’s business and civic communities.
Ecuador is located in the northwestern part of South America, bordered by Colombia to the north, Peru to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Its capital city is Quito, while Guayaquil is the largest city. The country is well-known for its oil exports, agricultural products—particularly bananas, cocoa, coffee, and flowers—as well as its tourism industry.
Ecuador is also home to the world-famous Galápagos Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is celebrated for its unique biodiversity.
The celebration of Ecuador’s National Day not only reflects the country’s deep respect for its history and culture, but also symbolizes a strong spirit of friendship and shared prosperity with the international community.
