能陪伴青年,是上天赋予我们的恩典;

却买不到孩子们眼中的光;

Cheering for Our youngsters

Every spring, when a gentle breeze sweeps across the city and our Southern News team gathers once again for the McDonald’s Education Expo, the grand hall seems to fill with a soft yet radiant energy. Whenever I see those young faces stepping into the venue—their eyes bright with dreams and the light of tomorrow—something deep and tender within me begins to tremble ever so slightly.

It is not an ordinary scene.

It is the sound of hope quietly taking root.

It is the unspoken blessing of countless families.

It is the future of our nation walking toward us with steady steps.

In those moments, I often feel a surge of emotion rising within me, warm and unstoppable, like a gentle river flooding the chambers of my heart. I lift my head just a little, letting the shimmer in my eyes dry quietly beneath the lights—unnoticed, undisturbed, yet deeply felt.

I often tell my wife, and I tell my colleagues as well:

To walk alongside our youth is a gift bestowed upon us by heaven.

To help illuminate their dreams is the most sacred responsibility society has entrusted to us.

This is not merely an event.

It is not merely a task.

It is a mission handed to us by our time.

Wealth can bring comfort,

but it cannot buy the light we see in a young person’s eyes.

Profit may earn applause,

but it can never replace the peace and joy that come from watching a new generation take flight.

Each time the ceremony ends and the students step out with scholarships in hand—carrying confidence, carrying recognition, carrying smiles bright with possibility—I whisper silently to myself:

—We have not failed the expectations of our community.

—We have done something that truly makes the world better.

And it is these young people who make me believe—

tomorrow will surely shine brighter than today.

And because we can cheer for them and walk beside them,

our own lives, too, become fuller, deeper, and illuminated with meaning.
