今年，恰逢「马年之光临」。马象徵奔腾、进取、忠诚与远行——像一股向前的力量，把我们从过去带到今天，也把我们从今天推向更辽阔的未来。回望来路，美南新闻曾在资源有限的年代，以一纸一笔、一台印刷机，写下华人移民的汗水与荣耀；也在社区需要发声的时刻，挺身而出，為弱者说话，為公义作证，让无数沉默的故事被看见、被记录、被尊重。

三十週年，是一盏灯。它照亮我们走过的道路：从最初的艰苦创业，到一步步成為社区的眼睛与良知；从纸本新闻走向电视、网路、AI媒体平台，时代在变，媒体形态在变，但美南新闻的使命不能变——為社区留下歷史，為下一代守护真实。

Thirty years is not simply a count of calendar pages turned, but a promise kept: to hold fast to our original purpose through storms and uncertainty, and to stand by truth in a changing world.

This year, we also welcome the arrival of the Year of the Horse. The horse symbolizes momentum, progress, loyalty, and the courage to journey far—an energy that carries us from yesterday into today, and from today into a wider horizon. Looking back, in years when resources were limited, Southern News Group began with little more than paper, pen, and a printing press, recording the sweat and dignity of immigrant life. And whenever our community needed a voice, we stepped forward—to speak for those unheard, to stand for fairness, and to ensure that countless quiet stories were seen, documented, and respected.

A 30th anniversary is a light.
