我们从加州移植而来的棕櫚树，静静佇立在新建金融中心大楼前。

数週以来，寒流反覆来袭，冷风刺骨，夜色漫长，彷彿要将一切生机冻结。

然而，它们终究撑了过来。

在严寒过后，叶色依旧挺立，根脉已然扎稳这片新土。

The palm trees we transplanted from California now stand quietly in front of the newly built financial center.

For weeks, waves of winter cold and biting winds tested their endurance, as if determined to freeze every trace of life.

The palm trees endured the cold

not because the environment was kind,
