  Sullivan Visits Beijing

U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan arrived in Beijing Wednesday for talks with high-ranking Chinese officials. This visit has been seen as a positive sign for easing the strained relationship between the United States and China.

The current international landscape is complex and fraught with conflict. The war in Ukraine continues to escalate, the Middle East is plagued by ongoing violence, The Philippines is challenging China in the South China Sea and tensions are rising in the Taiwan Strait due to the “Taiwan Independence" stance of the current administration. We are facing these numerous conflicts and war zones and Sullivan will likely use this visit as an opportunity to discuss them with the Chinese leadership.

While the U.S. has attempted to contain China‘s rise through a tech blockade, this strategy has proven largely ineffective.
