麻疹正在德州西北部传染中

休斯敦市长惠特曼及赫里斯郡长赫达哥今天紧急呼吁大家保持镇静，对於目前在德州西北部地区发现一百六十起麻疹传染病患，有关医疗机构呼吁大家尤其是孩童尽快施打疫苗。

德州牛仔节今天开始在休斯敦盛大揭幕，有关主办单位对於麻诊疫情表示高度谨慎，尤其是婴儿必须先种疫苗而且儘量避免在人群中出现。

麻疹是一种急性高度传染性之疾病，常见於𠒇童，為儿童急性呼吸道传染病之一。它可能通过空气从感染者身上传播，最初之现象是发高烧流鼻涕红眼和双眼流泪开始。

我们呼吁大家务必小心谨慎，尤其是有幼儿之家庭,尽量避免出门,如果有任何状况立即和医生及卫生单位联繫。

Measles Is Spreading In Northwest Texas

Mayor John Whitmire and Judge Lina Hidalgo both urge measles vaccinations for children amid the northwest Texas outbreak.

An outbreak of measles in northwest Texas grew to 159 cases on Tuesday,or about a dozen more than last week.

The health department is very concerned about school-aged children who have not received the vaccine that protects against measles.

Experts have warned that they believe the outbreak will continue to spread for some time because measles is highly contagious and it can take 7 to 21 days for symptoms to appear after an exposure.

We call on everyone to be very careful, especially for families with young children and avoid going outside as much as possible.
