We Don’t Have A Vaccine To Cure Hate Crime

Because the hate crime attacks have continued, the anxiety still grips many cities’ Asian communities. Violent crimes against Asians continue to rise in New York City. It has increased by 400 percent from 21% to 105% last year.

When the city opened back up for business, a lot of senior citizens were hesitant to travel too far from their apartments. Many of the victims of harassment and hate crimes no longer report incidents to the police because they believe nothing meaningful will be done in many cases.

Local police admit that it can be difficult to prosecute cases as hate crime unless they have solid proof in any given case. In many cities, Chinatown groups of volunteers now patrol the streets hoping to deter potential attacks.

We strongly urge all the Asian communities to unite and fight together in this battle. We need to organize as a community and unite to make sure all our people are aware of each  local situation.

The federal government has already appropriated the funds to help local law enforcement to fight the crime. We need for them to work with us to team up and report the crime.

Even though the nation is officially opened up, nothing has changed in the Asian communities. We are still fighting another battle.
